Alimayu Enterprises was created as a sole proprietorship in 2003 as an internet-based resource for African and African inspired products. Initially the only products offered were African jewelry and fabrics. In 2004, a retail location was established and the product line was expanded to include African clothing, black soap, beauty aids, artwork, and cards. Designer embellished clothing, hats, and other accessories by Katherine Bishop, Justin Taylor, Terramina, Milano, Nubiano, Lily & Taylor, Deborah, and others were also added to the products offered for sale.

In 2010, Alimayu Enterprises has been reorganized and established as a limited liability corporation in the state of Georgia. The company operates primarily via the internet with regular Home, Body, and Spirit Fashion Show and Sales offered at venues throughout the southeastern United States.

The main products offered by Alimayu Enterprises are still African in nature. There are over 800 products available through the website, www.alimayu.com, with many more available via catalogs on the website or in print upon request.

Alimayu Enterprises has horizontally expanded the product and services offered to include travel and entertainment services. While all of the services are integrated into one website, an easy means to go directly to the services of choice has been established.
